First Officer definition

First Officer means a pilot who is second in command of an aircraft and its crew members while on flight duty and whose duty is to assist or relieve the Captain in the manipulation of the flight controls of an aircraft, and who is properly qualified to serve as and holds currently effective Ministry of Transport and other governmental certificates him to serve as such First Officer.

More Definitions of First Officer

First Officer when used herein means a pilot second in command of the aircraft.
First Officer. A Crew Member who is second-in-command of the aircraft and its Crew Members and whose primary responsibilities are to assist or relieve the Captain in navigation, communication and manipulation of aircraft controls while underway.

Flying lines - means regular flying lines, VTO lines and reserve move-up lines in a pay or bid period. Gateway - means a designated location where Company aircraft stop on a scheduled basis for the purpose of loading or unloading packages or cargo.
First Officer means a pilot who is second-in-command of the aircraft and its crew members and whose duty is to assist or relieve the Captain, and who is properly qualified to serve as and holds a currently effective Transport Canada other governmental authorizing him to serve as such pilot. Flight Crew Member Captain, First Officer, Second Officer or Flight Engineer as defined herein. Flight Time means the time during which the Flight Crew Member operates in an aircraft as a member of its crew. It commences at the required report time at the beginning of a duty period and finishes fifteen (15) minutes after the final flight in the duty period.
