Food Service Facility definition

Food Service Facility. Any business or facility which prepares and/or packages food or beverages for sale or consumption which may include, but is not limited to, food courts, food manufacturers, food packagers, restaurants, bakeries, cafeterias, delicatessens, coffee shops, concession stands, and all other Food Service Facilities not specifically listed herein.
Food Service Facility means any facility engaged in the preparation of food for human consumption and/or serving of meals, short orders, sandwiches, frozen desserts or other edible products. The term includes restaurants, coffee shops, cafeterias, short order cafes, luncheonettes, taverns, lunchrooms, places which manufacture retail sandwiches, soda fountains, institutional cafeterias, catering establishments and similar facilities by whatever name called.
Food Service Facility means: (a) a place where food or drink is prepared for sale or service on the premises or elsewhere; or (b) any operation where food is served to or provided for the public, with or without charge. The term “food service facility” does not include: a kitchen in a home, for guests at a social gathering, or for service to unemployed, homeless or other disadvantaged populations; or a facility that serves exclusively prepackaged food products where food is not handled.

  • Whenever the Food Service Facility is being used by an outside group and a bargaining unit member is assigned to work, the assignments will be offered on a rotating basis school wide by classification seniority.
