General Construction Contractor definition

General Construction Contractor or “GCC” means a prime Contractor retained directly by the City to perform Project Work and has entered into a Construction Contract.
General Construction Contractor means a person or business that contracts to oversee a building project usually involving the use of subcontractors and manages all aspects of the day-to-day activities at the jobsite.
General Construction Contractor means any person or entity who contracts directly with an owner to undertake the construction and/or in any manner to assume charge of the construction of a construction project.

  • Construction Contractor means a person who undertakes to or offers to undertake to, or purports to have the capacity to undertake to, or submits a bid to, or does himself or by or through others, construct, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck, or demolish any building, highway, road, railroad, excavation, or other structure, project, development, or improvement to real property, or to do any part thereof.   • Construction Contract or “contract” means a written agreement between a contractor and a public agency for the construction, alteration, demolition, or repair of a facility, other than a contract having a dollar value of less than $30,000.00 or a contract that provides for 3 or fewer payments.

  • The constructional plant means all appliances, tools, plants or machinery or whatsoever nature required in or about the execution, completion or maintenance of the works but does not include materials or other things intended to form part of the permanent work.
