Home Reserve definition

Home Reserve means a period of time during which a flight crew member must be prepared to respond to a call out for flight duties as yet unspecified. The flight crew member must report for duty within a specified time from call out;

Home Reserve means the land base currently located in Townships 18, 19 and 19A, Ranges 5 and 6 West of the Second Meridian in the Province of Saskatchewan;

Home Reserve means the Electoral Section that a Member has as his or her ordinary place of residence.

Examples of Home Reserve in a sentence

• Home Reserve is not considered an assignment with regard to duty and rest limitations; however it is considered a day worked.

• The required two (2) hour call out time will not apply to a Home Reserve Flight Attendant who has not been given an assignment, but a Home Reserve must contact Crew Scheduling prior to being contacted for an assignment.

• If a Home Reserve Flight Attendant is contacted for an assignment during the last two (2) hours of the home reserve period, the assignment given will not commence in the current calendar day.

• A Flight Attendant on Home Reserve shall report to the airport crew room for check in no later than two (2) hours after he/she is contacted.

• A Home Reserve Flight Attendant must provide the Company with a phone number in his/her domicile.

• A Home Reserve Flight Attendant may be contacted by the Company during the on-call period to begin a duty assignment that is scheduled to commence and conclude consistent with the limitations of the FAR's.

• A Reserve shall either be Home Reserve or Airport (Ready) Reserve.

• A Home Reserve Flight Attendant who has been notified of an assignment, and subsequently becomes ill and unable to perform such assignment, must notify Crew Scheduling immediately, but in no case less than two (2) hours prior to check in time for such assignment.

• A Home Reserve Flight Attendant is required to be on-call for a period of no more than sixteen (16) hours on a reserve day.

• A Flight Attendant who becomes ill during a Home Reserve period must contact Crew Scheduling immediately, for the purpose of placing themselves on sick leave status.
