Revitalization Area means any area for which the chief executive officer (or the equivalent) of the local jurisdiction in which the development is to be located certifies as follows: (i) either (1) the area is blighted, deteriorated, deteriorating or, if not rehabilitated, likely to deteriorate by reason that the buildings, improvements or other facilities in such area are subject to one or more of the following conditions- dilapidation, obsolescence, overcrowding, inadequate ventilation, light or sanitation, excessive land coverage, deleterious land use, or faulty otherwise inadequate design, quality or condition, or (2) the industrial, commercial or other economic development of such area will benefit the city or county but such area lacks the housing needed to induce manufacturing, industrial, commercial, governmental, educational, entertainment, community development, healthcare or nonprofit enterprises or undertakings to locate or remain in such area; and (ii) private enterprise and investment are not reasonably expected, without assistance, to produce the construction or rehabilitation of decent, safe and sanitary housing and supporting facilities that will meet the needs of low and moderate income persons and families in such area and will induce other persons and families to live within such area and thereby create a desirable economic mix of residents in such area. The area within a redevelopment project, conservation project, or rehabilitation district established by the city or county pursuant to Chapter 1 (§36-1 et seq.) of Title 36 shall be deemed a revitalization area without any such certification. Any such revitalization area must either (a) include discussions from the locality of the type of developments that will be encouraged, the potential sources of funding, and services to be offered in the area; or (b) be subject to a plan using Hope VI funds from HUD. A comprehensive plan does not qualify as certification of a revitalization area.
Municipal Revitalization Index means the 2007 index by the
Hospitalization means admission in a Hospital for a minimum period of 24 consecutive ‘In- patient Care’ hours except for specified procedures/ treatments, where such admission could be for a period of less than 24 consecutive hours.
Partial Hospitalization means an outpatient program specifically designed for the diagnosis or active treatment of a serious mental disorder when there is a reasonable expectation for improvement or when it is necessary to maintain a patient’s functional level and prevent relapse or full hospitalization. Partial hospital programs are usually furnished by a hospital as distinct and organized intensive ambulatory treatment service of less than 24-hour daily care.
Homecare Worker means a provider, as described in OAR 411-031- 0040, that is directly employed by a consumer to provide either hourly or live-in services to the eligible consumer.
Non-profit housing development means development of a building or structure intended for use as residential premises by,
COVID-19 Measures means any quarantine, “shelter in place”, “stay at home”, workforce reduction, social distancing, shut down, closure or sequester order, guideline, recommendation or Law, or any other applicable Laws, guidelines or recommendations by any Governmental Entity in connection with or in response to COVID-19.
Cluster development means a contiguous cluster or
Business Critical means any function identified in any Statement of Work as Business Critical.
Plan for moderate income housing means a written document adopted by
Basic Comprehensive User Guide means the Ministry document titled Basic Comprehensive Certificates of Approval (Air) User Guide” dated April 2004 as amended.
Planning area means a planning area or a development area or a local planning area or a regional development plan area, by whatever name called, or any other area specified as such by the appropriate Government or any competent authority and includes any area designated by the appropriate Government or the competent authority to be a planning area for future planned development, under the law relating to Town and Country Planning for the time being in force and as revised from time to time;
Small Diversity business concern means a small business concern that is at least fifty-one (51) percent unconditionally owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically diverse, or a publicly owned business that has at least fifty-one (51) percent of its stock unconditionally owned by one or more socially and economically diverse individuals and that has its management and daily business controlled by one or more such individuals. This term also means a small business concern that is at least fifty-one (51) percent unconditionally owned by an economically diverse Indian tribe or Native Hawaiian Organization, or a publicly owned business that has at least fifty-one (51) percent of its stock unconditionally owned by one of these entities, that has its management and daily business controlled by members of an economically diverse Indian tribe or Native Hawaiian organization.
Basic health plan model plan means a health plan as required in RCW 70.47.060(2)(e).
Housing development as used in this section, means a development project for five or more residential units, including mixed-use developments. For the purposes of this section, “housing development” also includes a subdivision or common interest development, as defined in Section 4100 of the Civil Code, approved by a city, county, or city and county and consists of residential units or unimproved residential lots and either a project to substantially rehabilitate and convert an existing commercial building to residential use or the substantial rehabilitation of an existing multifamily dwelling, as defined in subdivision (d) of Section 65863.4, where the result of the rehabilitation would be a net increase in available residential units. For the purpose of calculating a density bonus, the residential units shall be on contiguous sites that are the subject of one development application, but do not have to be based upon individual subdivision maps or parcels. The density bonus shall be permitted in geographic areas of the housing development other than the areas where the units for the lower income households are located.
major accident means an incident involving loss of life inside or outside the establishment or ten or more injuries inside and/or one or more injuries outside or release of toxic chemical or explosion or fire or spillage of hazardous chemical resulting in ‘on-site’ or ‘off-site’ emergencies or damage to equipment leading to stoppage of process or adverse effect to the environment;
Business Area means an adjacent area that is zoned by a state, county, township, or municipal zoning authority for industrial or commercial purposes, customarily referred to as "b" or business, "c" or commercial, "i" or industrial, "m" or manufacturing, and "s" or service, and all other similar classifications and that is within a city, village, or charter township or is within 1 mile of the corporate limits of a city, village, or charter township or is beyond 1 mile of the corporate limits of a city, village, or charter township and contains 1 or more permanent structures devoted to the industrial or commercial purposes described in this subdivision and that extends along the highway a distance of 800 feet beyond each edge of the activity. Each side of the highway is considered separately in applying this definition except that where it is not topographically feasible for a sign or sign structure to be erected or maintained on the same side of the highway as the permanent structure devoted to industrial or commercial purposes, a business area may be established on the opposite side of a primary highway in an area zoned commercial or industrial or in an unzoned area with the approval of the state highway commission. A permanent structure devoted to industrial or commercial purposes does not result in the establishment of a business area on both sides of the highway. All measurements shall be from the outer edge of the regularly used building, parking lot, or storage or processing area of the commercial or industrial activity and not from the property lines of the activities and shall be along or parallel to the edge or pavement of the highway. Commercial or industrial purposes are those activities generally restricted to commercial or industrial zones in jurisdictions that have zoning. In addition, the following activities are not commercial or industrial:
NFIP means the National Flood Insurance Program authorized under the Act.
Inclusionary development means a development containing both affordable units and market rate units. This term includes, but is not necessarily limited to: new construction, the conversion of a non-residential structure to residential and the creation of new affordable units through the reconstruction of a vacant residential structure.
Classification plan means the orderly arrangement of positions within an agency into separate and distinct job families so that each job family will contain those positions which involve similar or comparable skills, duties and responsibilities [74:840 1.3].
Child with special needs means a child with one or more of the following conditions:
Evacuation means the authorized or ordered departure from post of an employee or dependent(s), or any of the circumstances outlined in Section 610j herein. The terms "evacuated" and "ordered/authorized to depart" are used interchangeably in these regulations.
Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.
100-year floodplain means any area of land that:
