Information Privacy or Security Laws definition

Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and the implementing regulations and any other law concerning the privacy or security of Personal Information, including state data breach notification laws, state health information privacy laws, the FTC Act, the FTC Red Flag Rules and state consumer protection laws. “Personal Information” means any information with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to believe that the information can be used to identify an individual, including “individually identifiable health information” as defined in 45 C.F.R. 160.103, demographic information, and Social Security numbers.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and all other Laws concerning the privacy or security of personal information, including state data breach notification Laws, state health privacy and information security Laws, the Federal Trade Commission Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 41-58, as amended, the FTC Red Flag Rules and state consumer protection Laws.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means the HIPAA Laws and any other laws concerning the privacy and/or security of Personal Information, including but not limited to the Xxxxx-Xxxxx-Xxxxxx Act, state data breach notification laws, state health information privacy laws, the Federal Trade Commission Act and state consumer protection laws.

Examples of Information Privacy or Security Laws in a sentence

  • When the Company is acting as a “business associate” as such term is defined under HIPAA, the Company has implemented the requisite privacy and security policies, procedures and systems to comply with the terms of its business associate agreements and as required by applicable Information Privacy or Security Laws, and the Company is not and has not been in material breach of any such business associate agreement.

  • The Company is not nor has been under investigation, audit or proceedings by any Governmental Body or received any Claim from any third party, individual or Governmental Body related to whether the Company’s collection, processing, use, storage, security and/or disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information (i) is in violation of any applicable Information Privacy or Security Laws, privacy policies or security policies or (ii) otherwise constitutes an unfair, deceptive or misleading trade practice.

  • Copies of the compliance policies and/or procedures of each of the Company Parties relating to Information Privacy or Security Laws have been made available to Purchaser.

  • Copies of the compliance policies and procedures and privacy notices of the Facilities relating to applicable Information Privacy or Security Laws and copies of any written complaints alleging a violation of any Information Privacy or Security Laws, received by Seller Group or any of the Facilities during the preceding twenty-four (24) month period have been delivered to Buyer.

  • The workforce (as such term is defined in 45 C.F.R. §160.103) of each of the Company Parties that is subject to Information Privacy or Security Laws has received training with respect to compliance with Information Privacy or Security Laws.

Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and regulations as set forth in Section 4.19 above and any other applicable Law concerning the privacy and/or security of Personal Information, including state data breach notification laws, state patient, medical record and health information privacy Laws, the Federal Trade Commission Act and state consumer protection Laws; and (ii) "Personal Information" means any information with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to believe that the information can be used to identify an individual, including "individually identifiable health information" as defined in 45 C.F.R. 160.103, demographic information, and social security numbers and such other personally identifiable information protected by applicable Legal Requirement.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and the implementing regulations and any other law concerning the privacy or security of Personal Information, including federally-assisted substance use disorder treatment programs, as defined 42 CFR Part 2, state data breach notification laws, state health information privacy laws, the FTC Act, the FTC Red Flag Rules, and state consumer protection laws. “Personal Information” means any information with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to believe that the information can be used to identify an individual, including “individually identifiable health information” as defined in 45 C.F.R. 160.103, demographic information, and Social Security numbers.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and regulations as set forth in any other Healthcare Legal Requirements or other applicable Law concerning the privacy and/or security of personal information applicable to the Purchased Entities and the Business, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Law 1981, the Israeli Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Privacy) 2017.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means all applicable Legal Requirements concerning the privacy, protection, storage, access, use, disclosure and/or security of Personal Information, Personal Data or other information, including state data breach notification Legal Requirements, state health information protection Legal Requirements, state social security number protection Legal Requirements, the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Xxxxx-Xxxxx-Xxxxxx Act, the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act, and state data breach, data privacy, breach notification and consumer protection Legal Requirements.
Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and any regulations promulgated thereunder, and all other Laws concerning the privacy or security of Personal Information, including any applicable foreign Laws, state data breach notification Laws, and state health information privacy Laws. “Insolvency Proceeding” means, with respect to any Person, any proceeding by or against such Person under the United States Bankruptcy Code, or any other bankruptcy or insolvency law in the United States or other applicable jurisdiction, including assignments for the benefit of creditors, compositions, extensions generally with its creditors, or proceedings seeking reorganization, arrangement, or other relief. “Intellectual Property” means all: (a) Copyrights, Trademarks, and Patents; (b) trade secrets and trade secret rights, including any rights to unpatented inventions, know-how, show-how and operating manuals; (c)
Information Privacy or Security Laws means HIPAA and regulations as set forth in Section 4.23(a), the Michigan Identify Theft Protection Act, Act 452 of 2004, MCL 445.61 – 445.67, and any other Legal Requirements concerning the privacy and/or security of Personal Information, including state data breach notification laws, state patient, medical record and health information privacy laws, the Federal Trade Commission Act and state consumer protection laws; and (ii) “Personal Information” means any information with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to believe that the information can be used to identify an individual, including “individually identifiable health information” as defined in 45 C.F.R. § 160.103, demographic information, and social security numbers and such other personally identifiable information protected by applicable Michigan law.
Information Privacy or Security Laws has the meaning specified in Section 4.18(c).
