The Junior Officer receiving the grievance shall give a decision in writing to the griever, a Senior Officer within the griever’s unit, division, or branch, and the Chief of Police within five (5) days of receiving the grievance.
An aggrieved member shall first present the grievance in writing to a Junior Officer within the member’s platoon, unit, or division within five (5) days of the alleged occurrence, stating the article or articles alleged to be violated.
Each platoon shall reflect the seniority of the Service meaning that each platoon shall consist of a Senior Officer - mid range serving Officer and a Junior Officer selected at the discretion of the Administration.
For the purpose of this paragraph there should be three categories of employment as follows: Senior Officer: Master, Chief Engineer, Chief Officer, 1st Engineer, Junior Officer: All officer ranks other than Senior Officer as above.
The Company will make this payment in a single lump sum to the Junior Officer within 5 days of his last day of employment with the Company and any of its Subsidiaries.
