JV means Joint Ventures
SANAS means the South African National Accreditation System;
OPWC means the Ohio Public Works Commission created pursuant to Revised Code Section 164.02.
POPI means the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013;
Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;
Non-Monitoring RTO means the Party that does not have operational control of a M2M Flowgate.
S&P CDO Monitor The dynamic, analytical computer model developed by S&P and used to calculate the default frequency in terms of the amount of debt assumed to default as a percentage of the original principal amount of the Collateral Obligations consistent with a specified benchmark rating level based upon certain assumptions (including the applicable S&P Minimum Weighted Average Recovery Rate) and S&P’s proprietary corporate default studies, as may be amended by S&P from time to time upon notice to the Issuer, the Trustee, the Collateral Manager and the Collateral Administrator. Each S&P CDO Monitor will be chosen by the Collateral Manager (with notice to the Collateral Administrator) and associated with either (x) an S&P Minimum Weighted Average Recovery Rate and an S&P Minimum Weighted Average Floating Spread from Section 2 of Schedule 4 or (y) an S&P Minimum Weighted Average Recovery Rate and an S&P Minimum Weighted Average Floating Spread confirmed by S&P, provided that as of any date of determination the Weighted Average S&P Recovery Rate for the Highest Ranking Class equals or exceeds the S&P Minimum Weighted Average Recovery Rate for such Class chosen by the Collateral Manager and the Weighted Average Floating Spread equals or exceeds the S&P Minimum Weighted Average Floating Spread chosen by the Collateral Manager. Clean coal technology demonstration project means a project using funds appropriated under the heading “Department of Energy—Clean Coal Technology,” up to a total amount of $2,500,000,000 for commercial demonstration of clean coal technology, or similar projects funded through appropriations for the Environmental Protection Agency. The federal contribution for a qualifying project shall be at least 20 percent of the total cost of the demonstration project.

BEO means a written order issued by the Contractor to the Judicial Council that confirms the Judicial Council’s specific instructions and orders with respect to the Program on any one or more of the following, but does not alter any of the Agreement’s terms and conditions: (i) meeting and/or function room(s) and set-up requirements and/or rental charges; (ii) meal menus and prices and set-up requirements; and/or (iii) audio-visual equipment and set-up requirements and/or rental charges. BEO’s will be approved and signed by the Judicial Council’s representative, as set forth in Exhibit B.
Dynamic driving task means the same as that term is defined in Section 41-26-102.1.
COGSA means the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act of the United States of America approved on 16th April 1936.
Temporary clean coal technology demonstration project means a clean coal technology demonstration project that is operated for a period of five years or less and that complies with the SIP and other requirements necessary to attain and maintain the national ambient air quality standards during the project and after the project is terminated.
System Operating Limit or “SOL” shall mean the value (such as MW, MVAR, Amperes, Frequency, or Volts) that satisfies the most limiting of the prescribed operating criteria for a specified system configuration to ensure operation within acceptable reliability criteria.
POPIA means the Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013;
Tabarru’ means donation for the purpose of solidarity and cooperation among the Takaful Participants and to be used to help all Takaful Participants in times of misfortune. In the context of the Company, Tabarru’ will be allocated into the Participants’ Risk Fund.
LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;
Non-Core Assets means: (1) all intangible present and possible future authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to all “western” DBS orbital locations other than the 148 degree orbital slot (as the term “western” is used by the FCC) held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (2) all intangible present and possible future authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to the fixed satellite service in the Ku-band, extended Ku-band, Ka-band and C-band held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (3) all present and possible future intangible authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to any mobile satellite service held by the Company and/or any of its Subsidiaries at any time; (4) all present and possible future intangible authorizations, rights, interests and other intangible assets related to local multi-point distribution service; and (5) any Subsidiary of the Company the assets of which consist solely of (i) any combination of the foregoing and (ii) other assets to the extent permitted under the provision described under the second paragraph of Section 4.19 of this Indenture.
S&P means Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services, a division of The XxXxxx-Xxxx Companies, Inc. and any successor thereto.
Value Engineering (VE) means a discipline of engineering that studies the relative monetary values of various materials and construction techniques, including the intial cost, maintenance cost, energy usage, replacement cost, and life expectancy of the materials, equipment or systems under consideration.
High terrain means any area having an elevation 900 feet or more above the base of the stack of a source.
Copper Loop is a stand-alone local loop comprised entirely of copper wire or cable. Copper Loops include two-wire and four-wire analog voice-grade copper Loops, digital copper Loops (e.g., DS0s and integrated services digital network lines), as well as two-wire and four-wire copper Loops conditioned to transmit the digital signals needed to provide digital subscriber line services, regardless of whether the copper Loops are in service or held as spares. The copper Loop includes attached electronics using time division multiplexing technology, but does not include packet switching capabilities.
South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
