Land uses definition

Land uses means specific uses or management-related activities, rather than the vegetation or cover of the land. Land uses may be identified in combination when joint or seasonal uses occur.

Land uses means the purpose for which land is or may be used lawfully in terms of the land use scheme or in terms of any other authorisation, permit or consent issued by a competent authority, and includes any conditions related to such land use purposes.

Land uses means land governed by conditions of establishment or –title, or in terms of the Vaal River Guide Plan, Township Establishment and Land Use Regulations (G.N.R 1897 / 1986) of Act 4 of 1984 (such as Zamedela, Refengkgotso and Metsimaholo townships) or Deeds of Transfer (such as Deneysville and Oranjeville) and prior to the approval of a town planning scheme (such as applicable in Sasolburg, Vaalpark and Roodia areas) and the scheme provisions must be substituted for such conditions in all cases where the conditions of title were altered to accommodate a new land use provided that where conditions of land occur in the scheme but not in the title deeds the scheme shall take precedence;
