Lead work definition

Lead work means a responsibility assigned to an employee by management to direct (instruct, answer questions, distribute and balance work load, accept, modify or reject completed work, maintain attendance records, report infractions and provide input on staffing decisions) the work of two or more employees (federal, state, county, municipal and private employment organization, volunteers, inmates or residents).
Lead work means (i) work which requires the performance of work, labor or services or the application of skills not generally utilized in the performance of tenant improvement work for normal office occupancy in comparable office buildings in downtown Manhattan or (ii) any item of work, materials and/or equipment, including, without limitation, cooling towers and related equipment, emergency generators and related equipment, electrical switch gear and related equipment, furnishings, cafeteria equipment, and U.P.S. systems, which requires a lead time of more than sixty (60) days prior to the date such item is required on site.

Examples of Lead work in a sentence

  • Lead work differential shall not apply for voluntary training and development purposes which are mutually agreed to in writing between the supervisor and the employee.

  • Lead work differential shall be defined as a differential for employees who have been formally assigned by their supervisor, in writing, "lead work" duties over three (3) or more employees in their classification or salary range for ten (10) consecutive calendar days or longer.

  • Lead work differential shall be defined as a differential for employees who have been formally assigned by their supervisor, in writing, "lead work" duties over three (3) or more employees in their classification or salary range for ten (10) consecutive calendar days or more or eighty (80) consecutive regular hours or more.

  • Lead work and coordination rating elements are applicable only to those employees who fall into classifications having these responsibilities.
