A Local Resident shall be defined as an employee having resided at a permanent address within one hundred and twenty kilometres (120 km) of the job for a period of not less than 90 days prior to the commencement of the project.
If it is determined that there is an underutilization of Local Resident Members the Parties will meet and address the issue.
The project must be within the one hundred and twenty (120) kilometres zone as outlined in the definition of a Local Resident.
A Local Resident, who resides in the northwest of British Columbia, shall be defined as a Local Resident within two hundred and forty kilometres (240 km) of the job for the same period of not less than ninety (90) days prior to the commencement of the project.
For Local Resident qualified persons only, pre-employment training and/or verified previous construction experience will constitute required qualification as determined solely by the Employer.
