Mainland Chinese Investor definition

Mainland Chinese Investor means an investor subject to the regulations under the Measures Governing Investment Permit to the People of Mainland Area (大陸地區人民來台投資許可辦法).
Mainland Chinese Investor means an ‘investor’ subject to the regulations under the Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area (臺灣地區與大陸地區人民關係條例), the Enforcement Rules for the Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area (臺灣地區與大陸地區人民關係條例施行細則), the Measures Governing Investment Permit to the People of Mainland Area (大陸地區人民來台投資許可辦法) and the orders and regulations announced by the Government Authority from time to time;

  • This Note and all rights hereunder (or a portion thereof) may be transferred by the Holder at any time to any Affiliate of the Holder or to any other Person other than any Mainland Chinese Investor.

  • Mainland China means the People’s Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).

  • Asia means Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, North Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

  • BVI means the British Virgin Islands.

  • HKFE means the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited;

  • Overseas Shareholders holders of Scheme Shares who are resident in, ordinarily resident in, or citizens of, jurisdictions outside the United Kingdom;

  • WFOE has the meaning set forth in the Preamble of this Agreement.

  • HK$ Hong Kong dollars, the lawful currency of Hong Kong;

  • HK Company shall have the meaning ascribed to it in the preamble of this Agreement.

  • PRC means the People’s Republic of China, but solely for purposes of this Agreement, excluding the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macau Special Administrative Region and Taiwan.

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Locked-Up Shareholders means the Persons who are party to the Lock-Up Agreements.

  • HKEx means Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited;

  • Public school academy means a public school academy or strict discipline academy organized under the revised school code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1 to 380.1852.

  • HKSCC means the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited or its successors.

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Chile means the Republic of Chile.

  • CSSF means the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier;

  • SoftBank means SoftBank Group Corp., a Japanese kabushiki kaisha.

  • EUMA means the “SAP Delivered Support Agreement” which sets out the terms and conditions under which SAP provides support to End Users and which will be provided by SAP on a deal by deal basis.

  • NPCI means National Payments Corporation of India;

  • Minority Shareholders means holders of Shares that were not tendered pursuant to the Offer or in the Subsequent Offering Period (as it may be extended by the Minority Exit Offering Period).

  • Mauritius means the Republic of Mauritius and includes: (i) all the territories and islands which, in accordance with the laws of Mauritius, constitute the State of Mauritius; (ii) the territorial sea of Mauritius; and (iii) any area outside the territorial sea of Mauritius which in accordance with international law has been or may hereafter be designated, under the laws of Mauritius, as an area, including the Continental Shelf, within which the rights of Mauritius with respect to the sea, the sea-bed and sub-soil and their natural resources may be exercised;

  • inland waters means the navigable waters of the United States shoreward of the navigational demarcation lines dividing the high seas from harbors, rivers, and other inland waters of the United States and the waters of the Great Lakes on the United States side of the International Boundary;

  • CSDCC means the China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd. “CSRC” means the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
