Nurses definition

Nurses when used throughout this Agreement shall mean persons included in the above described bargaining unit.
Nurses wherever used in this Agreement shall mean any or all of the employees of the Bargaining Unit herein defined.
Nurses means all of the employees of the Hospital who are in the above described bargaining unit.

Examples of Nurses in a sentence

  • An employee holding a Temporary Class Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of current General Class Certificate of Registration by the College of Nurses of Ontario shall be given the salary of the registered staff nurse as provided in this Article retroactive to the date of sitting the certification examination or the date of last hire, whichever is later.

  • For an employee with at least two (2) years full-time or equivalent service (e.g., 3,000 hours of part-time RN service), upon application in writing by the Union to the Employer, an unpaid leave of absence may be granted to such employee selected for a secondment or a temporary staff position with the Ontario Nurses' Association.

  • Leave of absence for board members of the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • An employee who is elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted upon request leave(s) of absence without loss of seniority and benefits.

  • An employee who serves as Local Co-coordinator for the Ontario Nurses Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually.


More Definitions of Nurses

Nurses as used in this Agreement refers to all members of the bargaining unit described in 1.1 unless a provision specifically differentiates between “Regular Nurses” and “Relief Nurses.” The term “Clinical Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to Clinical Nurses I, II, III and IV. The term “Regular Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to full and part-time Clinical Nurses I, II, III, and IV. The term “Relief Nurses” as used in this Agreement refers to Relief Clinical Nurses I, II, III, and IV.
Nurses. If a visit to the partnered school is necessary due to the absence of the partnered school nurse, and an on- site attention to health issues is necessary, the covering nurse will be paid $30.00 to compensate for the loss of the visiting nurse’s planning time, which typically occurs throughout the professional day. The Olathe School District, with support of the Board of Education and Professional Council, advocates National Board Certification as a positive enhancement of teacher skills and expertise. For this reason, the District offers candidates a reimbursement of the non-refundable $475 fee upon submission of the final component of the portfolio within IRS protocol.

Nurses means either license practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN).
Nurses or “Nurse” or “RN” are used hereinafter in this Agreement, they shall be deemed to apply only to Registered Nurse employees of the Medical Center who are specifically included within the appropriate bargaining unit above noted. The sole purpose of the above is to identify the categories of employees in the appropriate bargaining unit, and this provision shall not be construed or interpreted so as to impose obligations or confer rights upon the parties beyond that of recognition of the unit.
Nurses registry" means and includes the business of conducting any agency, bureau, office or any other place for the purpose of procuring, offering, promising or attempting to provide employment or engagements for nurses of any kind.
Nurses station" means an area in the nursing unit separated from the corridor by counter or desk, designed to permit nurses to record and file each patient's history and progress, observation, and control of corridor, preparation of medicines, and maintain contact with patients, the hospital, and the outside by local and public means of communication.
