Relief Nurses. Relief Nurses are employed by the Hospital for coverage of regular positions when Regular Nurses are not available or in exceptional circumstances.
Relief Nurses. The employer shall not unreasonably restrict a Relief Nurse "A" from moving to Relief Nurse "B".
Relief Nurses. Prior to identifying any full or part-time positions for layoff, the Employer shall eliminate any positions held by Relief nurses in the classification identified for reduction.
Relief Nurses. Part-time nurses working in excess of authorized hours.
Relief Nurses. The employer shall not unreasonably restrict a Relief Nurse “A” from moving to Relief Nurse “B”. CRONA recognizes the Hospital’s concerns regarding the continuity of the application of the Resource Nurse role. CRONA and the Hospital also recognize that each and every Nurse who fulfills that role on any shift is deserving of acknowledgement of the role they play and should be compensated therefor. All Nurses who act in the role of Resource Nurse will receive appropriate education and training. Any program to establish regular designated Resource Nurse positions for any unit will be discussed and details finalized in Nurse Practice Committee. Such details should include (but not limited to): the minimum number of clinical hours required to maintain clinical skills, etc., the clinical and leadership requirements, the number of permanent Resource Nurses required, and an evaluation process for the program.
Relief Nurses. Registered nurses who work on a non-regularly scheduled basis and are employed to temporarily augment the workforce during census changes, sick time coverage and other shortages. The work requirements described below shall not apply to nurses working in secondary relief positions.
Relief Nurses. Hired On or After October 1, 2004 Relief nurses (last hired on or after October 1, 2004) may be hired and required to work specific shifts (including 12 hour and/or eight hour PMs only, nights only, days only, both PMs and nights, both days and nights, both days and PMs, or a combination of all three) and/or in specific units. A relief nurse last hired on or after October 1, 2004, must comply with the following requirements during the time that the relief nurse is actively employed by the Hospital:
Relief Nurses. Relief nurses may contribute to the SCHS existing 16 retirement plan without a matching contribution from the Hospital and 17 may contribute to the maximum amount allowed by law.
Relief Nurses. The employer shall not unreasonably restrict a Relief Nurse “A” from moving to Relief Nurse “B”. The following side letters were previously agreed to between the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and CRONA and will be continued for the term of the current agreement.
Relief Nurses. Nurses who do not work on a regularly scheduled basis or who work less than twenty (20) hours per week on a regularly scheduled basis during any period when additional work of any nature requires a temporarily augmented work force or in the event of an emergency or employee absence. Relief nurses shall not accrue seniority nor shall they receive any benefit compensation, except, holiday pay at one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular rate of pay if worked, any applicable certified registered nurse premium pay, or on-call pay as set forth
