Pay Television Service definition

Pay Television Service means a subscription television broadcast service under the Broadcasting Services Act (1992).

Pay Television Service means any television channel or other television-based service for which a fee is received from viewers in Poland, either directly, or indirectly through a carrier.

• Pay Television Service shall mean the delivery over CATV of video signals in intelligi- ble form to subscribers for a fee or charge, over and above the charge for basic CATV service, on a per program, per channel, or other subscription basis.

• Likewise, Pay Television subscribers who are given the opportunity to access Xxx at no additional charge, but who do not actually authenticate their Pay Television Service subscription or otherwise 'opt in' to access the Max platform, shall not be included as Max subscribers.

• In the event that any STE Pay Television Service is offered on an a la carte, packaged or bundled basis, such STE Service must be made available solely in connection with a mandatory “buy-through” of a bona fide tier of Programming Services including a substantial number of Programming Services available on basic cable as of the Effective Date (including twenty-four (24) hour news channels, broadcast channels, retransmitted local stations and ad-supported cable networks).

• Notwithstanding anything herein, TWC and/or TWC’s Pay Television Service shall have the right to down-convert, scale, up-convert, pan and scan, center cut or alter the resolution of each Picture.

• STE SOD Services (other than Un-Tethered SOD Services) must only be made available to subscribers of a STE Pay Television Service.

• For purposes of clarification, upon the expiration of the rights of TWC’s Pay Television Service in a Picture following a withdrawal, the License Term in the Pay TV Rights shall expire, and TWC’s Pay TV Rights in such Picture shall also terminate (and TWC’s lien solely in the Pay TV Rights for such Picture shall terminate; provided that TWC shall remain entitled to receive its fee on any Pay TV GR for such Picture).

• TWC shall have the right to notify Licensor at any time that any Eligible Picture or Picture is withdrawn from TWC’s Pay Television Service for legal or liability reasons as reasonably determined by TWC in TWC’s good faith judgment.

More Definitions of Pay Television Service

Pay Television Service means the simultaneous delivery by the Company to television receivers over the CATV of television programming to subscribers for a fee or charge (over and above the charge for Basic Television Service) on a per program, per channel, or other subscription basis.

In no event shall a Pay Television Service make pictures available to consumers on a Pay-Per-View or other “pay-per-film” economic basis. A Pay Television Service may be made available (I) in a sequentially scheduled “linear” format (whereby all viewers accessing such Pay Television Service at a given point in time in a given time zone (e.g. eastern time zone) would be able to view the same exhibition of the same program at such point in time) and/or (II) on an “on demand” access basis (whereby a given viewer has discretion to select the time(s) for viewing of a given program or group of programs featured on such Pay Television Service.)

Pay Television Service means the television Exhibition of films or other programming to residences or commercial establishments in the Territory, by means of cable, wire or fiber of any material, satellite master antenna, single- and multi- channel multi-point distribution (so-called "MDS" and "MMDS"), DBS, DTH or other forms of direct to consumer satellite transmission, any scrambled terrestrial broadcast systems other than Exhibition by means of Standard Broadcast Television, Home Video and theatrical and non-theatrical Exhibition. Pay Television Channel shall not include pay-per-day, pay-per-view or pay-per-show Exhibition.
