Public Safety Emergency definition

Public Safety Emergency means an instance when:
Public Safety Emergency means an instance when: 1.63.1 Program Equipment is damaged or in an unsafe state so as to cause an immediate danger to the public; or 1.63.2 Circumstances or situations immediately surrounding Program Equipment create an imminent danger to the public; or 1.63.3 The area around a Station becomes unsafe or is required by police department or other emergency responders of a Participating City in order to respond to a natural disaster or avoid a calamity.
Public Safety Emergency for purposes of this Interlocal Agreement includes, but is not limited to, situations such as: an active shooter, mass casualty incident, act of terrorism, civil disturbance or other similar urgent/unstable situation where serious bodily injury or the loss of human life is imminent and/or occurring.

  • Public safety answering point or “PSAP” means an answering location for 911 calls originating in a given area. The E911 Customer may designate a PSAP as primary or secondary, which refers to the order in which calls are directed for answering. Primary PSAPs answer calls; secondary PSAPs receive calls on a transfer basis. PSAPs are public safety agencies such as police, fire, emergency medical, etc., or a common bureau serving a group of such entities.

  • Eligible Crisis or Emergency means an event that has caused, or is likely to imminently cause, a major adverse economic and/or social impact to the Recipient, associated with a natural or man-made crisis or disaster.

  • Maximum Generation Emergency means an Emergency declared by the Office of the Interconnection to address either a generation or transmission emergency in which the Office of the Interconnection anticipates requesting one or more Generation Capacity Resources, or Non- Retail Behind The Meter Generation resources to operate at its maximum net or gross electrical power output, subject to the equipment stress limits for such Generation Capacity Resource or Non-Retail Behind The Meter resource in order to manage, alleviate, or end the Emergency.
