Ramp(s) definition

Ramp(s) or “Apron(s)” means a paved area suitable for Aircraft parking.
Ramp(s) or "ramps with gradients" means ramps with gradients, or ramps with slopes, that deviate from what would otherwise be considered the normal level. An "exterior ramp", as distinguished from a "walk", means an appendage to a building leading to a level above or below existing ground level. As such, a ramp shall meet certain requirements similar to those imposed upon stairs.

  • Pavement means any type of improved surface that is within the public right-of-way and that is paved or otherwise constructed with bituminous, concrete, aggregate, or gravel.

  • Passageway means a pathway that is unobstructed clear to the sky and extends from a street to one entrance of the accessory dwelling unit.

  • Bathroom means any room containing a built-in flush-type toilet.

  • CABS means the Carrier Access Billing System.

  • Deck means a walkway immediately adjacent to a swimming pool.

  • Stations means the Owned Stations and the Contract Stations.

  • Drainage means the movement of water to a place of disposal, whether by way of the natural characteristics of the ground surface or by artificial means;

  • Fence means any structure, wall or barrier, other than a building, erected at grade for the purpose of defining boundaries of property, separating open space, restricting ingress to or egress from property, providing security or protection to property or acting as a visual or acoustic screen.

  • Toilet means a disposal apparatus used for urination and defecation, fitted with a seat and flushing device.

  • Walkway means a paved or unpaved trail or pathway or a structure constructed of wood or other material that is neces- sary due to the difficulty of the terrain for access to the river.

  • Landing means the level portion of a stairs located between flights of stairs or located at the top and foot of a stairs.

  • Driveway means improved land on a highway which provides vehicular access from the roadway to a laneway or a parking area on adjacent land.

  • Toileting means getting to and from the toilet, getting on and off the toilet, and performing associated personal hygiene.

  • Drainage area means a geographic area within which stormwater, sediments, or dissolved materials drain to a particular receiving waterbody or to a particular point along a receiving waterbody.
