Registered Practical Nurse definition

Registered Practical Nurse means a person who is registered by the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act. Nurses are required to remain registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario during their employment and must therefore renew their registration yearly.
Registered Practical Nurse means a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario who holds a certificate of registration as a registered practical nurse under the Nursing Act, 1991; (“infirmière auxiliaire autorisée” or “infirmier auxiliaire autorisé”)
Registered Practical Nurse. “RPN”, “nurse” and “employee” when used throughout this Collective Agreement shall mean persons employed by the Employer and covered by this Collective Agreement.

Registered Practical Nurse means an individual that is licensed to practice in Ontario as a registered practical nurse by a Regulatory Body;
Registered Practical Nurse mean a nurse who holds an applicable General Class Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professionals Act, and The Nursing Act. A nurse who holds a Temporary Certificate of Registration must obtain her General Class Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of her Temporary Certificate. If the nurse fails to obtain her General Class Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of her Temporary Class Certificate of Registration, but in any case not longer than one year from her date of hire, she will be deemed to be not qualified for the position of registered nurse or registered practical nurse, as applicable, and she will be terminated from the employ of the Centre. Such termination shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. A nurse who holds a Temporary Class Certificate of Registration will be classified for the purposes of salary, at a level equal to the level previously accorded to the graduate nurse category under the collective agreement.
Registered Practical Nurse is defined as a Nurse who is registered by the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Health Disciplines Act. A Registered Practical Nurse is required to present to the Director of Nursing her current Registration Certificate not later than January of each year. A casual employee will be deemed to have lost all seniority and service and shall be deemed to have terminated if he has refused all calls for a period of three months from the last day worked.
