Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work with or without pay, by virtue of sickness, quarantine, or accident, or out-of-town medical/dental referrals for which compensation is not payable under the Worker's Compensation Act.
Paid sick leave – means paid leave under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act.
Vacation means annual vacation with pay.
Current Sick Leave means those days of sick leave for the current contract year, which leave is granted at the rate of one day of sick leave per month worked, or major part thereof.
Returning Employees means those persons listed in a schedule to be agreed by the Parties prior to the end of the Contract Period who it is agreed were employed by the Contractor (and/or any Sub-Contractor) wholly or mainly in the supply of the Services immediately before the end of the Contract Period.
Holidays shall be deemed to mean and include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Accrued Professional Compensation means, at any given moment, all accrued, contingent and/or unpaid fees and expenses (including, without limitation, success fees) for legal, financial advisory, accounting and other services and reimbursement of expenses that are awardable and allowable under section 328, 330(a) or 331 of the Bankruptcy Code and were rendered before the Effective Date by any Retained Professional in the Chapter 11 Cases, or that are awardable and allowable under section 503 of the Bankruptcy Code, that have not been denied by a Final Order, all to the extent that any such fees and expenses have not been previously paid (regardless of whether a fee application has been filed for any such amount). To the extent that the Bankruptcy Court or any higher court denies or reduces by a Final Order any amount of a Retained Professional’s fees or expenses, then those reduced or denied amounts shall no longer constitute Accrued Professional Compensation.
Leave of Absence means absent from work with permission.
Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence.
Approved Leave of Absence means a leave of absence that has been approved by the applicable Participating Company in such a manner as the Board may determine from time to time.
Bereavement Leave means "a leave of absence granted to an employee upon a death occurring in the employee's Immediate Family.”
Company Personnel means any current or former officer, employee, director or consultant of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.
Layoff is a cessation of employment, or elimination of a job resulting from a reduction of the amount of work required to be done by the Employer, a reduction in hours of work where such a reduction is permanent and eliminates an employee's health and welfare benefit entitlement, a reorganization, program termination, closure or other material change in organization.
Leave means authorized absence from duty by an employee during his or her regular or normal hours of work;
Workers’ Compensation As required by any applicable law or regulation. Employer's Liability Insurance: must be provided in amounts not less than listed below: Minimum limits: $500,000 each accident for bodily injury by accident $500,000 policy limit for bodily injury by disease $500,000 each employee for bodily injury by disease
Leave Salary means the monthly amount paid by the University to an employee who is on leave.
Authorized leave of absence means an unpaid, temporary cessation from active employment with the Employer pursuant to an established nondiscriminatory policy, whether occasioned by illness, military service, or any other reason.
Continuing Employees shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.9(a).
maternity or paternity leave of absence means, for Plan Years beginning after December 31, 1984, an absence from work for any period by reason of the Employee's pregnancy, birth of the Employee's child, placement of a child with the Employee in connection with the adoption of such child, or any absence for the purpose of caring for such child for a period immediately following such birth or placement. For this purpose, Hours of Service shall be credited for the computation period in which the absence from work begins, only if credit therefore is necessary to prevent the Employee from incurring a 1-Year Break in Service, or, in any other case, in the immediately following computation period. The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.
Continuing Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.7(a).
Part-Time Employees means employees employed on a permanent basis, but obligated to work less than a full (i.e., forty-hour) work week.
FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.
Retained Employees has the meaning set forth in Section 6.1.1.
Uniformed personnel means: (a) Law enforcement officers as
