Wages definition

Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence, excluding overtime.
Wages and "salaries" means earnings in eligible employment under this chapter

  • Wages as defined in section 3401(a) for the purposes of income tax withholding at the source but determined without regard to any rules that limit the remuneration included in wages based on the nature or location of the employment or the services performed (such as the exception for agricultural labor in section 3401(a)(2)).

More Definitions of Wages

Wages and "salaries" means the member's earnings in eligible employment under
Wages. The term "wages" shall mean the compensation prescribed in this Agreement.
Wages means all remuneration paid or payable, in cash to an employee, if the terms of the contract of employment, express or implied, were fulfilled and includes 4[any payment to an employee in respect of any period of authorised leave, lock-out, strike which is not illegal or lay-off and] other additional remuneration, if any, 5[paid at intervals not exceeding two months], but does not include—

Wages means any compensation within the meaning of section
