Wages definition

Wages is defined as the amount of money the employee would have otherwise received over a period of absence, excluding overtime.
Wages and "salaries" means earnings in eligible employment under this chapter
Wages means all remuneration whether by way of salaries, allowances or otherwise, expressed in terms of money or capable of being so expressed which would, if the terms of employment, express or implied, were fulfilled, be payable to a person employed in respect of his employment or of work done in such employment, and includes,—

Examples of Wages in a sentence

  • Wages due workers who leave without proper notice shall be paid on the next regular pay day.

  • Librarians and Advisors selected for extra teaching assignments will be compensated according to Article 21 Wages of this Agreement.

  • Faculty will be compensated for extra teaching assignments according to Article 20 Wages of this Agreement.

  • Study abroad and domestic travel courses may be taught as part of the Faculty member’s regular teaching load or as an extra teaching assignment at the compensation rates established in the Article on Wages.

Wages and "salaries" means the member's earnings in eligible employment under

Wages. The term "wages" shall mean the compensation prescribed in this Agreement.

Wages means all remuneration for personal services, including commissions and bonuses and the cash value of all remuneration in any medium other than cash. Wages also means wages in lieu of notice, separation allowance, severance pay, or dismissal pay. The reasonable cash value of remuneration in any medium other than cash shall be estimated and determined in accordance with rule 23.2(96).
Wages means money paid or to be paid on an hourly or daily basis by an owner, lessor, or occupant of a residential structure or combination residential and commercial structure as consideration for the performance of personal labor on the structure by a person who does not perform or promise to perform the labor for any other fixed sum, price, fee, percentage, valuable consideration, or other compensation and who does not furnish or agree to furnish the material or supplies required to be used in the performance of the labor or an act defined in subdivision (a) or (b).
