Standard Drop definition

Standard Drop means a standard cable connection, defined as no more than 150 feet from existing cable lines.
Standard Drop means a cable connection that requires no more than a 125-foot drop measured from the nearest point of a Subscriber's home or place of business to the nearest existing technically feasible point on the Cable System from which an individual Subscriber can be connected to the Cable System. A Standard Drop involves only one outlet and standard materials. A Standard Drop does not include the following (the cost of which may be assessed directly to the Subscriber): (a) a wall fish; (b) custom installation work, including specific Subscriber-requested work that requires non-standard materials or cable routing that requires construction methods exceeding reasonable underground or aerial work; or (c) the cost of any equipment or construction modifications necessary to provide an adequate signal over the Standard Drop to the Subscriber's residence.
Standard Drop means that cable connection which requires no more than a one hundred and twenty-five foot (125’) drop measured from the nearest point of subscriber’s home or place of business to the nearest active tap on the Cable System, involving only one outlet and standard materials and does not involve a wallfish. In addition, a standard drop shall exclude custom installation work including specific subscriber requested work that requires nonstandard inventory or cable routing that requires construction methods exceeding reasonable underground or aerial work. A standard drop shall include cutting in one or more taps and extending cable as necessary.

Examples of Standard Drop in a sentence

  • If making Cable Service available requires more than a Standard Drop, Licensee will not be required to make such Cable Service available unless the Person requesting such Cable Service pays to Licensee the standard connection charge and an amount equal to the reasonable, actual labor and material costs incurred by Licensee for the additional facilities and work beyond the Standard Drop.

  • Licensee shall make Cable Service available to any single family residence or any commercial establishment within the County at the standard connection charge if the connection requires a Standard Drop.

  • If making service available to a County Building requires no more than a Standard Drop, Licensee shall make service available without charge to County Buildings.

  • Absent a showing by Licensee to the County Administrator or other authorized individual of unusual circumstances, which include without limitation street crossings or plant extensions, any Standard Drop to any County Buildings shall be accomplished within ten days of the written request for service.

  • If making service available to a County Building requires more than a Standard Drop, Licensee will not be required to make such service available unless the County entity requesting such service pays to Licensee an amount equal to the actual, reasonable labor and material costs incurred by Licensee for the additional facilities and work, less Licensee's cost for a Standard Drop.

  • In addition, Grantee shall provide, at no cost to the Town or other entity, one outlet of Basic and Expanded Basic Service to additional owned or leased and occupied Town buildings, schools and libraries where service is not being provided as of the Effective Date of this Franchise upon request and if it is a Standard Drop or if the Town or other entity agrees to pay the incremental cost of such drop line, including the cost of such excess labor and materials.

  • Absent a showing by Licensee to the City Manager of unusual circumstances, including without limitation, unusual Public Street crossings: (1) any Standard Drop to a single family residence or MDU for which the owner has granted Licensee reasonable access shall be accomplished within 10 days of the request for service; and (2) any service drop that is not a Standard Drop shall be accomplished within 20 days of such request.

  • If making service available to a City Building requires no more than a Standard Drop, Licensee shall make service available without charge to City Buildings.

  • The City will complete the installation of each Non- Standard Drop Conduit within six (6) days of the Parties' written confirmation agreeing on the estimate to be paid by Google Fiber for such Non-Standard Drop Conduit.

  • When the owner of a commercial or industrial establishment within the City requests an extension of service that does not meet the criteria described in paragraph A of this subsection, Licensee shall be required to comply with the request only if the owner pays to Licensee full incremental costs beyond a Standard Drop of extending the Cable System to the owner’s establishment.


More Definitions of Standard Drop

Standard Drop means an aerial connection extending no more than one hundred five (125) feet from the potential Subscriber’s demarcation point to the point on the Cable System from which Cable Service can be provided to that Subscriber.
Standard Drop means a cable connection that requires no more than a 150-foot drop measured from the nearest point of a Subscriber’s home or place of business to the nearest existing Technically Feasible Point of Connection on the Cable System from which an individual Subscriber can be connected to the Cable System. A Standard Drop involves only one outlet and standard material. In a drop 150 feet long or less, standard material includes any electronics necessary to provide a sufficient signal to one outlet. A Standard Drop does not include the following (the cost of which may be assessed directly to the Subscriber): (A) a wall fish; (B) custom installation work, including specific Subscriber-requested work that requires non-standard materials or cable routing that requires construction methods exceeding reasonable underground or aerial work. For a drop more than 150 feet long, Section 9.2 applies.

Related to Standard Drop

  • standard scale means the standard scale contained in section 55 of the Interpretation Act 2015 (of Tynwald)33;

  • Standard Software means Software identified as such in Appendix 4 of the Contract Agreement and such other Software as the parties may agree in writing to be Standard Software.
