the Port means a new port to be established in implementation of proposals made by the Joint Venturers pursuant to Clause 7 whether the same be established by the Joint Venturers exclusively or by them in conjunction with another or others (including the State) and should no such new port be established the term means any existing port developed or used by the Joint Venturers for the purposes of this Agreement by arrangement with another or others (including the State) and in either case the term extends to and includes as well as the land upon which the Joint Venturers’ wharf is erected also the adjacent land serving the Joint Venturers’ wharf and the adjacent land on which it is proposed to locate or on which could be located or in fact is located secondary and tertiary processing plants crushing grinding and screening facilities stockpiling yards electric power generating plant petroleum storage and other ancillary facilities;
the BCTF Plan means the Group RRSP entered into by the Federation and Royal Trust or a successor to that plan;
the Panel means a committee appointed by the authority under section 102(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 for the purposes of advising the authority on matters relating to the dismissal of relevant officers of the authority;
The Union means USW Local 2010 representing the Bargaining Unit as defined in Article 2: “Recognition and Scope”.
the SSCBA means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;
the FCA means the Financial Conduct Authority;
In this Commonwealth or "in the Commonwealth" means within the limits of the Commonwealth
the public service means, subject to the provisions of this section, the service in a civil capacity of the Government;
Commonwealth Standard Grant Conditions means this document.
Law relating to a public servant s office or employment” means a law that specifically applies to a person acting in the capacity of a public servant and that directly or indirectly imposes a duty on the public servant or governs the conduct of the public servant. Penal Code 39.01(1)
clear height , in relation to a sign, means the vertical distance between the lowest edge of the sign and the natural level of the surrounding ground, footway or roadway immediately below the sign.
the State means the Karnataka State
the CSA means the Common Services Agency for the Scottish Health Service constituted under Section 10 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978;
the 1983 Act means the Representation of the People Act 1983;
the Commonwealth means the Commonwealth of Australia as the party to this agreement;
the staff means all the staff who have a contract of employment with the institution;
AT&T TENNESSEE means the AT&T owned ILEC doing business in Tennessee.
the/this Agreement means the agreement as set out in this document and the Appendices hereto;
The public means one or more natural or legal persons, and, in accordance with national legislation or practice, their associations, organizations or groups;
This law or "the law" means the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Law embraced in
the 1980 Act means the Highways Act 1980(3);
trading venue means a regulated market, an MTF or an OTF;
The FA means The Football Association Limited.
Corporation Law means the General Corporation Law of the State of Delaware, as from time to time amended;
the Statutes means the Companies Act and every other act (as may from time to time be amended) for the time being in force in Bermuda applying to or affecting the Company, the Memorandum of Association and/or these presents;
the 1988 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1988.
