Transportation Aide definition

Transportation Aide means an individual trained for health and safety issues to accompany a Medicaid-eligible student transported to and from a covered Health Service as specified in the Individualized Education Program/individualized Family Service Plan (IEP/IFSP). The School Medical (SM) Provider must maintain documentation of the training, supervision, and provision of the services billed to Medicaid. For the purposes of these rules, individual transportation aides are included in the cost calculation for transportation costs and will not be billed separately. This computation will not include delegated health care aides for whom costs are direct costs.
