Health and Safety Issues. A. The Board and the Association shall establish a joint committee to develop procedures to be used during instances of health and safety problems at the school sites. The Committee shall be composed of eight (8) appointees, four (4) by the Superintendent and four (4) by the Association.
B. Smoking and the use of smokeless tobacco products by employees are prohibited on all School Board property (owned or leased); prohibited while on duty in the presence of students; and prohibited in vehicles operated by the School Board (owned or leased).
Health and Safety Issues. In companies where an internal safety organisation is not required, the trade union representative may present complaints and make recommendations to the employer concerning occupational health and safety issues. In companies with an internal safety organisation, health and safety issues should be submitted to the organisations for consideration. In companies with a health and safety committee, complaints should first be submitted to that committee for consideration. If no solution is found, the complainant shall, through his/her organisation, submit a request for consideration by the organisations. The request shall be accompanied by the minutes of the consideration by the health and safety committee. The trade union representative(s) for the area concerned shall be informed of the request for consideration.
Health and Safety Issues. In the event that an employee has a health and safety concern, the employee shall first bring that concern to a bargaining unit member. The bargaining unit member, acting as a health and safety committee, will discuss the concern with the Sheriff or the Sheriff’s designee. If the concern cannot be resolved, the Committee and the Sheriff will meet with representatives of the Board of Commissioners to resolve the matter. The decision of the Board of Commissioners representatives will be final and binding.
Health and Safety Issues. In the event there are ongoing health and safety problems in a store the parties agree that the matters will be referred to a Labour Management structured meeting which will include personnel from the Regional Offices of the Company and the Union. The parties further agree that the best avenue of dealing with health and safety problems is at the store level via monthly Health and Safety meetings and ensuring the proper follow up of same.
Health and Safety Issues. An employee is required to report to his/her direct supervisor, any accident and/or unsafe work practice(s) or condition(s). The Employer shall make reasonable provisions for the health and safety of employees during the hours of their employment and shall endeavor to maintain its facilities and equipment in safe operating condition.
Health and Safety Issues. In the event of emergency, safety issue, or failure to maintain insurance, or any other condition that constitutes a substantial threat to the health or safety of students, employees, or others at the School District, as determined by the School District in its sole and reasonable discretion, the School District may immediately suspend Top Driver’s activities hereunder until such condition has been remedied to the School District’s satisfaction.
Health and Safety Issues. 13.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for establishing the health and safety control programme for the Pool Construction Zone. The Contractor will take all practical steps to provide and maintain a safe working environment identifying significant hazards and displaying such signs and notices on the perimeter to the Pool Construction Zone in accordance with its health and safety control programme.
13.2 The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of its subcontractors and to ensure that they comply at all times with the health and safety control programme established for the Pool Construction Zone.
13.3 The Owner agrees to comply with the Contractor’s health and safety control programme and to comply with all directions of the Contractor or the Contractor’s Pool Construction Zone safety supervisor.
13.4 The Owner shall be responsible for Pool Construction Zone safety of its contractor’s invitees and workmen at all times. The Owners and their subcontractors agree to comply with the Contractor’s site safety supervisor at all times and if ordered to do so shall vacate the site immediately.
13.5 Once the Pool is excavated the Contractor shall ensure that the Pool Construction Zone perimeter is fenced with a suitable temporary construction fence.
Health and Safety Issues. Health and Safety Issues. 5.1. The Supplier is responsible for the ensure safe operation of the construction site and health care under applicable law and project documentation.
Health and Safety Issues. The District shall require the use of facial coverings (masks) in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines currently in effect. If a bargaining unit member is in need of a facial covering (mask), the District will provide one for the unit member. Individuals who cannot wear a mask because of a documented health issue shall instead be required to wear a face shield and neck drape (tucked into the shirt). Masks and face xxxxxxx may not be required for children age two and under or for students with medical apparatus or conditions which prevents or obstructs the use of the apparatus.
