Under 18s definition

Under 18s. Some additional policies apply to students who are under the age of 18. This information is provided during the admissions process. • If your programme is delivered by a partner organisation working with us (BU): There may be some different terms and conditions which apply instead of or as well as the terms and conditions in this agreementfor example some of the policies referred to may be different. The partner organisation should provide this information to you before you accept your offer, but please contact us if you are not sure where to find this information. • If you are carrying out academic research as part of your programme: In this agreement, where we talk about “studying” or “studies” this includes any research you are doing as part of your programme. There are also some specific rules which apply to research activity. If you are a postgraduate student undertaking a research degree, there are separate terms that relate specifically to your research and your funding, see the Research section of our Important Information page. (see xxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xx/xxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx). • If your studies are being funded by a sponsor or by student loans: Any agreements between you and the sponsor or lender are separate to this agreement and they don’t change the terms of this agreement between you and BU.

Examples of Under 18s in a sentence

  • Under 18s involved in programmes – due care must be taken regarding their welfare and dignity, irrespective of the consent of parents or guardians.

  • Special conditions apply for under 18s in this respect - see Policy for Under 18s on Adult Courses*.

  • Further Direction on this is contained in the following 2 sections of this JSP which relate to Supervisory Care and Care of Under 18s.

  • Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times, who shall be responsible for them whilst at our venue.

  • The Competition shall be called the OBB Under 18s Colts League (OBB) and will be open to Youth Teams from each club in membership of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire RFUs plus any teams from other Counties at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

  • The regulations apply, “Anywhere there are Under 18s taking part in a sporting event, and this includes the sport of lawn bowls”.

  • St Giles Juniors recognises our responsibility to ensure the safety of Under 18s when they are using the internet, social media and other forms of digital media.

  • Staff do not enter the chil- dren’s rooms unless it is an emergency or there is another staff member present• Over 18s and Under 18s should be in different rooms where possible.

  • Commanding Officers (COs) of training establishments are directly responsible and accountable for ensuring an effective Supervisory Care regime is established for the recruits, trainees, cadets, Under 18s (U18s) and other students within their establishments.

Related to Under 18s

  • Setback means the minimum distance from a specified boundary that a structure or other feature must be located.

  • Effluent limitation means any restriction imposed by the Director on quantities, discharge rates, and concentrations of pollutants that are discharged from point sources into waters of the United States, the waters of the contiguous zone, or the ocean.

  • Acre-foot – means the amount of water necessary to cover one acre of land one foot deep, or 325,851 gallons of water.

  • Impervious surface means a surface that has been covered with a layer of material so that it is highly resistant to infiltration by water.

  • Regulated impervious surface means any of the following, alone or in combination:

  • Total Suspended Solids means measure of all suspended solids in a liquid; typically expressed in mg/L.

  • Moving violation means any violation of any statute or ordinance, other than section 4513.263 of the Revised Code or an ordinance that is substantially equivalent to that section, that regulates the operation of vehicles, streetcars, or trackless trolleys on highways or streets or that regulates size or load limitations or fitness requirements of vehicles. "Moving violation" does not include the violation of any statute or ordinance that regulates pedestrians or the parking of vehicles.

  • Total suspended particulate means particulate matter as measured by the method described in 40 CFR 50, Appendix B.

  • noise nuisance means an unwanted sound, in an affected area, which is annoying, troublesome, or disagreeable to a person:

  • Occupancy Rate means, for any Property, the percentage of the rentable area of such Property occupied by bona fide tenants of such Property or leased by tenants pursuant to bona fide tenant Leases, in each case, which tenants are not more than 60 days past due in the payment of all rent or other similar payments due under such Leases and paying rent.

  • Pervious surface means an area that releases as runoff a small portion of the precipitation that falls on it. Lawns, gardens, parks, forests or other similar vegetated areas are examples of surfaces that typically are pervious.

  • Rubbing alcohol means any product containing isopropyl alcohol (also called isopropanol) or denatured ethanol and labeled for topical use, usually to decrease germs in minor cuts and scrapes, to relieve minor muscle aches, as a rubefacient, and for massage.

  • Behavioral violation means a student’s behavior that violates the district’s discipline policies.

  • Medicare eligible expenses means expenses of the kinds covered by Medicare Parts A and B, to the extent recognized as reasonable and medically necessary by Medicare.

  • Site area emergency means events may occur, are in progress, or have occurred that could lead to a significant release of radioactive material and that could require a response by off-site response organizations to protect persons off-site.

  • Deaf/blindness means concomitant hearing and visual impairments, the combination of which causes such severe communication and other developmental and educational problems that they cannot be accommodated in special education programs solely for students with deafness or students with blindness.

  • Explosives or munitions emergency means a situation involving the suspected or detected presence of unexploded ordnance (UXO), damaged or deteriorated explosives or munitions, an improvised explosive device (IED), other potentially explosive material or device, or other potentially harmful military chemical munitions or device, that creates an actual or potential imminent threat to human health, including safety, or the environment, including property, as determined by an explosives or munitions emergency response specialist. Such situations may require immediate and expeditious action by an explosives or munitions emergency response specialist to control, mitigate, or eliminate the threat.

  • Wildlife violation means any cited violation of a statute, law, regulation, ordinance, or administrative rule developed and enacted for the management of wildlife resources and the uses thereof.

  • Clean-Up Period has the meaning specified in Section 8.05.

  • Impervious area means any surface that does not allow stormwater to infiltrate into the ground.

  • Contamination means the presence of, or Release on, under, from or to the environment of any Hazardous Substance, except the routine storage and use of Hazardous Substances from time to time in the ordinary course of business, in compliance with Environmental Laws and with good commercial practice.

  • Listed Species means a species (including a subspecies, or a distinct population segment of a vertebrate species) that is listed as endangered or threatened under FESA or CESA.

  • Serious traffic violation means a conviction when operating a commercial motor vehicle of:

  • Medicare Levy Surcharge means an extra charge payable by high income earners beyond the standard Medicare Levy if they do not have qualifying private hospital insurance coverage. This charge is assessed as part of an individual or family’s annual tax return.

  • Life estate means the right to property limited to the lifetime of the individual holding it or the lifetime of some other individual. In general, a "life estate" enables the owner of the "life estate" to possess, use, and obtain profits from property during the lifetime of a designated individual while actual ownership of the property is held by another individual. A "life estate" is created when an individual owns property and then transfers ownership to another individual while retaining, for the rest of the individual's life, certain rights to that property. In addition, a "life estate" is established when a member of the financial group purchases a "life estate" interest in the home of another individual.

  • Square Footage means the total gross horizontal areas of all floors, including usable basement and cellars, below the roof and within the outer surface of the main walls of buildings (or the center lines of party walls separating such buildings or portions thereof) or within lines drawn parallel to and two feet within the roof line of any building or portion thereof without walls (which includes, notwithstanding paragraph 3 below, the square footage of all porches), and including pedestrian access walkways or corridors, but excluding the following:
