University Personal Data definition

University Personal Data or “UPD” means any records or information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as name, identification number, location data, online identifiers, or factor(s) specific to physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity or characteristics, or is identified as personally identifiable data (or a similar term) by any applicable law, that: Is created, received, or maintained by the University and transmitted to, accessed by, or otherwise made available to the Processor in connection with the Processor’s performance of the Work; Is created or compiled by the Processor in performing the Work; or Is appended to, aggregated with, or associated with any University Personal Data originating from the University that was transmitted to or accessed by the Processor in connection with the Processor’s performance of the Work. Notwithstanding the foregoing, UPD does not include personal data relating to the Processor’s or Sub- processor’s personnel or personal data that is acquired from non-UW sources and is processed by the Processor not in association with the Work.
University Personal Data means Personal Data received from or on behalf of the University, or otherwise obtained in connection with the performance of the Supplier’s obligations under the Agreement.

Examples of University Personal Data in a sentence

  • If the Recipient receives or obtains from the University, Personal Data that unintentionally reveal the identity of a study subject, the Recipient will promptly, within ten (10) days of discovery, notify the University.

  • If the nature of an Incident involves University Personal Data, as defined in the DPA, then the DPA incident response process shall apply instead of the provisions of these IT Security Terms.

  • University Personal Data and Data Processing Terms are defined in the DPA.

  • If the data processing activity includes University Personal Data, then the DPA governs the data processing.

  • The Supplier will perform background checks on all employees with access to University Personal Data in accordance with the law.

  • Where the Customer authorises the transfer of University Personal Data outside of the Approved Area, E-book Supplier agrees to comply with any instructions the Customer issues which is necessary to achieve compliance with the Privacy Laws.

  • The Supplier will perform continued due diligence on any 3rd party they contract with that will have access to University Personal Data to ensure they materially meet these controls.

  • Where the Supplier’s employees will have access to University Personal Data and mobile devices these must be managed with at minimum password or similar protection, encryption and the ability to remote wipe if the device is lost.

  • In the event of a confirmed or strongly suspected breach involving University Personal Data, the Supplier will inform the University no later than 48 hours after becoming aware of the breach.

  • The parties agree that in respect of: University Personal Data, the University shall be the Controller and the Provider shall be the Processor; and Provider Personal Data, Provider shall be the Controller and the University shall be the Processor.

Related to University Personal Data

  • Client Personal Data means any personal data provided to us by you, or on your behalf, for the purpose of providing our services to you, pursuant to our engagement letter with you;

  • Company Personal Data means any Personal Data Processed by a Contracted Processor on behalf of Company pursuant to or in connection with the Principal Agreement;

  • Shared Personal Data means the personal data to be shared between the parties under clause 1.2 of this agreement to enable the parties to fulfil their obligations under the terms of this Agreement.

  • Contractor's Confidential Information means any information, however it is conveyed, that relates to the business affairs, developments, trade secrets, know-how, Contractor’s Personnel and suppliers of the Contractor, including IPRs, together with all information derived from the above, and any other information clearly designated as being confidential (whether or not it is marked as "confidential") or which ought reasonably to be considered to be confidential, including the Commercially Sensitive Information.

  • Personal Data Breach means a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed;
