Work of the definition

Work of the unit” or “work of the bargaining unit” is that which is exclusive to the bargaining unit members. All professional library service, professional counseling, and the teaching of all credit courses which count toward degree programs and developmental courses shall be the exclusive work of the bargaining unit. Exceptions due to extenuating circumstances or as a result of acts not within the control of the University shall not normally continue for more than six (6) months without first consulting with the Association. Credit courses which count toward degree programs and professional library service may also be taught or performed by department heads, academic administrators, visiting professors, graduate assistants, tutorial assistants, research assistants, adjunct part-time instructors, and coaching staff.

  • Any individual subcontracted or employed by the Contractor with authorized access to personnel information documents, if any, is given access to use any personnel information in the documents solely for the purpose of performing the Work of the Contract and must not divulge this information to anyone without a need to know.

  • Unknown physical conditions at the site, of an unusual nature, differing materially from those ordinarily encountered and generally recognized as inherent in Work of the character provided for in this Contract.

Related to Work of the

  • Work of Music means the whole or a part of a musical work or of a musical work in combination with lyrics, words or any other literary work written for the purpose of accompanying the music, such as a song.

  • Project Scope means the description or activity of work to be accomplished on the Project.

  • Work stoppage means a concerted failure by employees to report for duty, a concerted absence of employees from work, a concerted stoppage of work, or a concerted slowdown in the full and faithful performance of duties by a group of employees. The officers of MSEA-SEIU, at all levels individually and collectively, agree that it is their continuing obligation and responsibility to maintain compliance with this Article, including the remaining at work during any interruption or slowdown of work which may take place.

  • Projects means the projects identified in Exhibit A to the Agreement and all other projects, any costs of which are included in a Transitional Capital Plan pursuant to the Act or are Recovery Costs, and financed, by payment or reimbursement, with the proceeds of Bonds or Notes.

  • Constructor means a Principal Participant or subcontractor retained by the Design-Builder, who is involved in the actual construction of the Project.

  • The Works/Project means the works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • MHBE means the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange.

  • Design flow means the average annual flow or average daily flow specified in an approved facilities plan or approved plans and specifications, the flow specified in a WPDES permit, or the flow required to meet performance standards.

  • Planned means entered in the Working Timetable;

  • Workshop means any premises (including the precincts thereof) wherein any industrial process is carried on, but does not include any premises to which the provisions of section 67 of the Factories Act, 1948 (63 of 1948), for the time being, apply.

  • Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.

  • Project means the goods or Services described in the Signature Document or a Work Order of this Contract.

  • Development means the division of a parcel of land into two or more parcels, the construction, reconstruction, conversion, structural alteration, relocation or enlarge- enlargement of any building or structure, any mining excavation or landfill, and any use or change in the use of any building or other structure, or land or extension of use of land, for which permission is required under the Municipal Land Use Law, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;
