Factory Acceptance Tests. All data processing and manipulation routines shall be independently tested and approved by the designer prior to delivery to site. All software shall be independently tested and approved by the designer prior to delivery to site. The testing process shall include a full simulation of the operation of the entire network, including signal and fault testing. All components of the system shall be independently tested for operation and approved by the designer before delivery for installation. Components provided with certification from established European accreditation bodies (e.g. UKAS) may be exempt from testing subject to the approval of the designer.
