Aboriginal and/or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander Employment Commitment. (a) The Parties to this Agreement recognise the significant cultural importance of Indigenous Australians. To this end, the Employer, wherever possible, shall endeavour to employ, mentor and support Aboriginal and/or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander people
(b) Where the Parties to this Agreement cannot achieve direct employment, mentoring and support, the Employer shall endeavour to engage certified Indigenous Australian owned and controlled organisations in order to meet Aboriginal and/or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander Employment Commitments as per agreement obligations.
