ABSENCE FROM UNIT/VACANCIES. Definition of Temporarily Absent Generally, an individual who is or is expected to be absent from the Unit for 180 consecutive days or less is considered temporarily absent and continues to be considered a member of the household. Definition of Permanently Absent Generally, an individual who is or is expected to be absent from the Unit for more than 180 consecutive days is considered permanently absent and is no longer considered a member of the household. If an individual will be absent from the Unit for more than 180 days, and there are no remaining household members in the Unit, then the Subrecipient must terminate rental assistance payments. The Tenant must provide notice to the Subrecipient when he, she or another member of the household will be absent from the Unit for an extended period of time. An extended period of time is defined as any period greater than 30 calendar days. The Tenant must provide written notice to the Subrecipient at the beginning of his, her or another member of the household’s absence. The Subrecipient is under no obligation to continue to provide rental assistance to a vacant unit. If the Tenant fails to provide notice of his or her absence, the Subrecipient can immediately terminate his or her rental assistance. The Tenant and/or other members of the household that remain in the Unit during the absence, must ensure that the following activities are being performed during the absence:

  • Recall from Vacation Leave Where, during any period of vacation leave, an employee is recalled to duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that such employee incurs:

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • ABSENCE FROM DUTY Unless a provision of this agreement states otherwise (e.g. sick leave), an employee not attending for duty will lose their pay for the actual time of such non- attendance.

  • Recall from Vacation The Employer will make every reasonable effort not to recall an Employee to duty after she has proceeded on vacation leave or to cancel vacation once it has been approved.

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK Subject to the trust deed to the fund of which an employee is a member, the following provisions will apply.

  • Pre-Retirement Leave An employee scheduled to retire and to receive a superannuation allowance under the applicable Superannuation Act(s), or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be entitled to:

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Parental/Adoption Leave (a) A nurse who has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks and who is a parent of a child is entitled to parental leave without pay following the birth of the child or the coming of the child into the custody, care and control of a parent for the first time, shall be entitled to thirty-seven (37) weeks (provided the employee did not take pregnancy leave) of parental/adoption leave of absence without pay in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act of Ontario as may be amended from time to time, except as hereunder set out in this article.
