Common use of Abuse of PTO Clause in Contracts

Abuse of PTO. The operation of a nursing home creates a need for the Employer to maintain a dependable work force. Abuse of PTO in cases of illness and other personal emergency where 30 days advanced notice is not given creates an adverse impact on the Employer’s ability to meet its legal responsibilities and may result in discipline and/or discharge. The Employer reserves the right to require reasonable written proof of illness.
