Use of Paid Time. Employee must use all available vacation prior to the start of the leave of absence.

Use of Paid Time. Employee must use all available Extended Sick Time, PTO and One Time Bank hours prior to the start of the leave of absence. When an employee is granted a leave of absence for a period of six months or less, the employee is allowed to retain up to one hundred-twenty hours (120) of accrued PTO if the employee submits a written request to their department prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. The written request will contain the number of hours of PTO the employee will retain.

Use of Paid Time. 1. An employee who is medically unable to work due to pregnancy/childbirth (birth mother) must use:
a. All available sick time until the employee is medically able to return to work; and
b. All available vacation prior to the start of the leave of absence.
2. An employee who is absent to care for a child following the birth of the employee’s child, adoption or xxxxxx care placement must exhaust all available vacation prior to the start of the leave of absence.
Use of Paid Time. 169 Employee chooses the amount of family care time and vacation, if any, to be used prior to the start of the leave of absence.
Use of Paid Time. The Employee may use accrued sick leave for that portion of the leave for the birth of a newborn that is considered a disability (typically six [6] weeks for a normal delivery or eight [8] weeks for a Caesarean delivery). If the period of disability is longer than six (6)/eight (8) weeks because of health complications, additional accumulated sick leave may be used upon receipt of a physician’s statement. The Employee may choose to use accumulated personal holiday and vacation time during the leave. On-call Employees shall be eligible to use accrued sick leave for that portion of the leave for the birth of a newborn that is considered a disability. In addition, on-call Employees may choose to use a portion of, or all of their accrued vacation and personal holiday hours. The number of vacation and personal holiday hours selected will be paid out at the rate of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per work week for consecutive pay periods until exhausted. Employees must designate the number of hours to be paid at the beginning of their parenting leave.
