Academic leaving. In the event of the Academics ceasing to be employed by Imperial College, this Agreement shall automatically terminate without further notice. In the event of any Academics ceasing to be employed by Imperial College, this Agreement shall only apply to the Research Work of the Academics still employed by Imperial College (“Remaining Academics”) and any employee of Imperial College or any entity under the Control of Imperial College and who works under the direct supervision of the Remaining Academics.

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • Academic Program A. Upon successful completion of the major requirements, as indicated below in III.B, SDSU will accept 38 technical course credits from the A.A.S. degree in Business – Business and Technology. Additional transferable system general education credits may be earned at WDT and may be transferred to SDSU. Students must meet all Board of Regents policies and university graduation requirements in order to receive a degree. B. Requirements to be completed at SDSU to earn a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Entrepreneurial Studies are outlined below. The general education coursework to meet South Dakota Regental System’s General Education Requirements (SGR) must also be completed as outlined below. This coursework may be taken at WDT if equivalent courses are available. Please note that BOR Policy 2.5 states, “Total transfer credit for work at two-year technical or community college may not exceed one-half of the hours required for completion of the baccalaureate degree at the accepting institution unless an approved program-specific waiver exists.” For this program, that number is 60 credits. 1. SGR Goal #1: Written Communication: ENGL 101 Composition I and ENGL 201 Composition II (6 credits) 2. SGR Goal #4: Humanities and Arts/Diversity (6 credits in 2 disciplines or a sequence of foreign language courses) 3. SGR Goal #5: Mathematics: MATH 121-121L or MATH 123 (4-5 Credits) 4. SGR Goal #6: Natural Sciences (6 credits) 1. Natural Sciences Class (4 credits) from the approved list in SDSU Bulletin, taken as needed to earn 10 or more science credits from at least two different disciplines, with a minimum of two lab 2.   • Education Records Educational Records are official records, files and data directly related to a student and maintained by the school or local education agency, including but not limited to, records encompassing all the material kept in the student’s cumulative folder, such as general identifying data, records of attendance and of academic work completed, records of achievement, and results of evaluative tests, health data, disciplinary status, test protocols and individualized education programs. For purposes of this DPA, Education Records are referred to as Student Data. Personally Identifiable Information (PII): The terms “Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII” has the same meaning as that found in U.C.A § 53E-9-301, and includes both direct identifiers (such as a student’s or other family member’s name, address, student number, or biometric number) and indirect identifiers (such as a student’s date of birth, place of birth, or mother’s maiden name). Indirect identifiers that constitute PII also include metadata or other information that, alone or in combination, is linked or linkable to a specific student that would allow a reasonable person in the school community, who does not have personal knowledge of the relevant circumstances, to identify the student with reasonable certainty. For purposes of this DPA, Personally Identifiable Information shall include the categories of information listed in the definition of Student Data.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.
