ACADEMIC YEAR POSITIONS. Section 1. The university’s chief human resources officer or designee may designate positions involving teaching or other school activity as academic year positions. To the extent practicable, the employment term of such positions will conform generally to the school or academic year. The designation of such positions does not preclude the extension of employment, either full or part-time, into the period between two (2) school or academic years. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the initial designation shall be only those positions customarily working during the academic year.

ACADEMIC YEAR POSITIONS. The parties agree that the College may designate positions as Academic Year positions, which shall be less than 10 months. The existing employees in such positions shall be grandfathered and shall not lose work days unless they voluntarily agree to reduce their work year. The parties shall negotiate the benefits of such employees as may be affected by the change, and shall amend the contract language to reflect the creation of such positions.

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination:

A Contracting Party may allow representatives of the competent authority of the other Contracting Party to enter the territory of the first-mentioned Party to interview individuals and examine records with the written consent of the persons concerned. The competent authority of the second-mentioned Party shall notify the competent authority of the first-mentioned Party of the time and place of the meeting with the individuals concerned.
