Float Positions. The Employer may establish regular float positions which are consecutive hour shifts.
Float Positions. The Employer’s request for selection of vacation shall be no earlier than October 1st, and the posting of the approved vacation schedule shall be completed by December 31st of the preceding calendar year or any other date mutually agreed at the local level. The choice of vacation periods shall be granted employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of a department or where the employee has not exercised her rights within the vacation selection time posted by the employer. Once the approved vacation schedule has been posted, it shall only be changed by mutual agreement between the Employer and the affected employee.
Float Positions. (a) It may be operationally more efficient and cost effective to uti- lize regular float positions for relief work as set out in the Addendum - Casual Employees. Within ninety (90) days of ratification of the Agreement, and on an annual basis thereafter, the Employer and the Union, at the local level, will discuss the development of regular status float pool positions in light of the Employer’s use of casual employees in the previous period.
Float Positions. (a) The employer may, at its sole discretion, establish float positions. Any such position shall be posted according to Article 12.01.

Article 14 The Employer may establish at any time regular status float positions under Article 14, as it may be operationally more efficient and cost effective to utilize regular float positions for relief work. Further, this matter may be discussed at any time by the Union/Management Committee which shall consider in its deliberations factors such as utilization of casual employees. Where the Employer establishes float positions, they will be posted in accordance with Article 12.1. Float pool employees are entitled to all the provisions of this Agreement except Article 14.3 (a), (b), (c), (d), and (f). In addition, they shall not be entitled to access work under Article 12.1(b) and Article 29 at times when they are otherwise regularly scheduled to work. A float pool employee may be required to work at more than one work site of the Employer. Where no work is available, employees in float positions shall be utilized productively.
Float Positions. (d) The employer will post all vacancies in accordance with this article. The union shall be provided advance written notice of any decision to eliminate or alter the status of a position (i.e. Full time or Part Time) prior to posting or any decision to not post and fill a vacancy. Upon written request, the parties will meet to consider input and alternatives proposed by the union and discuss the impact of the change on existing employees.

When you are asked/agree to work at another location outside your geographic area, travel time will be paid for time spent above what you normally spend traveling to your home base location.
