Accessing Personal Information. You may ask to see the Personal Information that Heritage Royalty holds about you. If you want to review, verify, or correct your Personal Information, you may contact Heritage Royalty's Compliance Officer. Please note that any such communications must be in writing. When making an access request, Heritage Royalty may require specific information from you to confirm your identity and right to access, as well as to search for, and provide you with, the Personal Information that we hold about you. Heritage Royalty's Compliance Officer is available for help or questions regarding the preparation of a request. Where Personal Information will be disclosed to you, Heritage Royalty will endeavour to provide the information in question within a reasonable time and no later than 30 days following the request. Your right to access the Personal Information that Heritage Royalty holds about you is not absolute. There are instances where applicable law or regulatory requirements permit or require Heritage Royalty to refuse a Personal Information access request. Heritage Royalty also reserves the right to decline to provide access to Personal Information where the information requested: • would disclose the following: • Personal Information, including opinions, about another individual or about a deceased individual; • confidential information that may harm Heritage Royalty or competitive position of a third party, or interfere with contractual or other negotiations of Heritage Royalty or a third party; • is subject to solicitor-client or litigation privilege; • is not readily retrievable and the burden or cost of providing such information would be disproportionate to the nature or value of the information; • could reasonably result in: • serious harm to the treatment or recovery of the individual concerned; • serious emotional harm to the individual or another individual; • serious bodily harm to another individual; or • may harm or interfere with law enforcement activities and other legal or employment related investigative or regulatory functions. In addition, the Personal Information may no longer exist, may have been destroyed, erased or made anonymous in accordance with Heritage Royalty's record retention obligations and practices. In the event that Heritage Royalty cannot provide you with access to your Personal Information, we will endeavour to inform you of the reasons why access has been denied, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
Accessing Personal Information. It may be useful to access the appointer’s personal information and records, for example, to ensure a full understanding of the appointer’s current circumstances, supports and any unmet needs they might have. You must only access information necessary for the decision. You can demonstrate your legal authority to access personal information by following the steps described in section 3.2.
Accessing Personal Information. We permit a reasonable right of access and review of Personal Information by the individual to whom the Personal Information relates. We will endeavour to provide such information within a reasonable time and may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of producing the information. If you request a correction to the information then we will take reasonable steps to correct that information. We will take reasonable steps to update, correct or (upon your request) delete your Personal Information in our possession. To guard against fraudulent requests, we will require information to confirm your identity before granting access or making corrections. We may decline to provide access to Personal Information, including where we determine that the information requested:
Accessing Personal Information. A parent, student or staff member may seek access to their personal information, provided by them, that is held by the school. Access to other information maybe restricted according to the requirements of laws that cover the management of school records. These include the Public Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act.
