Common use of Accrual New Hires Clause in Contracts

Accrual New Hires. Employees (except Deputy Public Defenders) newly appointed prior to October 31 shall be credited with four (4) standard workdays as floating holidays for that fiscal year. Any employee appointed between November 1 and February 28 (29) shall be credited with two (2) standard workdays as floating holidays for the balance of that fiscal year. Any employee appointed between March 1 and May 31 shall be credited with one (1) standard workday as a floating holiday for the balance of that fiscal year. Any employee appointed between June 1 and June 30 shall receive no floating holiday for that fiscal year. Deputy Public Defenders hired between July 1 and January 1 of any fiscal year will immediately accrue 2 floating holidays upon appointment for that fiscal year. Any employee hired on or after January 1 through March 30 of any fiscal year will accrue 1 floating holiday for the balance of the fiscal year. Employees hired after March 30 of any fiscal year will not accrue floating holidays for the balance of the fiscal year.
