Common use of Accumulated Sick Leave Bank Clause in Contracts

Accumulated Sick Leave Bank. Members who have a sick leave bank in accordance with the Sick Leave Transition provisions may utilize their bank to top-up sick leave provided under paragraphs 3 and 4 of the Sick Leave Transition provisions as follows: (a) when a member exhausts 100% days, he or she will be paid at the 70% rate of absence for one-half day or less. If the absence is for more than one-half day, the member will have the option of being paid at the 70% or topping-up to 100%; (b) when a member exhausts all sick leave and is subject to being placed on hours without pay in accordance with paragraph 4, he or she will have the option of top-up from his or her accumulated sick leave bank;
