Active Associates Sample Clauses

Active Associates. Vacation pay applies to any active associate. As far as the Company is concerned, associates who receive sick pay and those on maternity and parental leave are active associates. Therefore, those on Company sick pay are active associates and the time on Company sick pay should be treated as if they had been at work so far as vacation time and pay is concerned. Any vacation pay when an associate is absent due to illness should be calculated and paid to the associate at the time they begin to be covered by long-term disability payments. To do it sooner may result in a delay of payment from EI to the associate. The calculation should be the same as if the associate had left the Company at the end of their eligibility for Company sick pay.
