Activities While on Leave. An Industrial Accident leave period is considered as beginning on the first day for which industrial illness or injury is claimed at the time the Unit member usually reports to work, extending through the last day for which illness or injury is claimed (at the time the Unit member usually departs for the day). If, between these two times, the Unit member is engaged in any gainful employment, they will be required to forfeit any pay paid by the District during the period the Unit member was engaged in outside employment. Such employment may also affect the Unit member's eligibility for TD or VRTD. A Unit member on Industrial Accident Leave may not leave the State of California without the authorization of the governing board.
