Adoption Leave / Paternity Leave. A teacher shall, upon request, be granted leave without deductions from sick leave credits and without loss of pay when adoption leave under the Employment Standards Act is not taken and it is necessary for the teacher to attend on the day that an adoptive child is picked up or spouses attending on the day of the birth of their child.
