Adult Protective Services Act. Grantee certifies that it is in compliance with the Adult Protective Services Act to protect people with disabilities who are abused, neglected or financially exploited and who, because of their disability, cannot seek assistance on their own behalf. Anyone who believes a person with a disability living in a domestic setting is being abused, neglected or financially exploited must file a complaint with the Illinois Department on Aging. Grantee has an obligation to report suspected fraud or irregularities committed by individuals or other entities with whom it interacts on Xxxxxxx’s behalf and should make a report to the appropriate program office (320 ILCS 20/1 et seq.).
