AND INTIMIDATION. The Company or its representatives shall not discriminate, coerce or restrain any of its employees because of such employee's membership or lawful activity in the Union.   • DISCRIMINATION AND COERCION A. The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination against any employee because of age, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual preference and physical or mental handicap.

  • Violence Against Women The parties hereby recognize and share the concern that women uniquely face situations of violence or abuse in their personal lives that may affect their attendance or performance at work. A woman who is in an abusive or violent personal or domestic situation will not be subjected to discipline without giving full consideration to the facts in the case of each individual and the circumstances surrounding the incident otherwise supportive of discipline. This statement of intent is subject to a standard of good faith on the part of the Employer, the Union and the affected employees and will not be utilized by the Union or the employees to subvert the application of otherwise appropriate disciplinary measures.

  • and Recall (a) In the event of lay-off, the Hospital shall lay off employees in the reverse order of their seniority within their classification, providing that there remain on the job employees who then have the ability to perform the work. An employee who is subject to lay-off shall have the right to either: accept the lay-off; or displace an employee who has lesser bargaining-unit seniority and who is the least senior employee in a lower or identical paying classification in the bargaining unit if the employee originally subject to lay-off can perform the duties of the lower or identical classification without training other than orientation. Such employee so displaced shall be laid off.

  • Vaccination and Inoculation (a) The Employer agrees to take all reasonable precautions, including in-service seminars, to limit the spread of infectious diseases among employees.

  • Grievance on Layoffs and Recalls Grievances concerning layoffs and recalls shall be initiated at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.
