Common use of Anniversary Date Clause in Contracts

Anniversary Date. The anniversary date of an employee shall be the first day of the month in which employment occurs if the employee reported for duty during the first five (5) work days of the month in which he/she was employed, or the first day of the following month if the employee reported for duty later than the fifth working day of the month. The anniversary date will only change to the first day of another month if: (a) the employee is reclassified, at which time the date of the reclassification becomes his/her new anniversary date; (b) the employee has been on leave of absence without pay, in which case the employee’s anniversary date will be moved forward by the amount of time which the employee was on leave without pay, unless otherwise provided in this Agreement.
