Anniversary Date. The anniversary date for classified employees shall be July 1. Each employee may be eligible to advance to the next step of his/her classification July 1, provided that the employee was in paid status on January 1 of the preceding fiscal year. When an employee is promoted or reclassified to another position, the employee may advance to the next salary step on July 1 following the promotion or reclassification if the employee was in paid status as defined above. (For example, if an employee is promoted or reclassified, the employee may advance to the next salary step with no loss of earned longevity).
