Common use of Annual Two-Week National Guard or Military Reserve Unit Leave Clause in Contracts

Annual Two-Week National Guard or Military Reserve Unit Leave. A teacher who is a member of the National Guard or a military reserve unit shall be granted a leave for a nonrequested mandatory annual two (2) week training commitment if it must be attended during the school year. The Board will compensate a teacher who qualifies under this provision the difference between his/her service pay and regular teacher's salary, but only if by such a leave s/he would suffer a loss.
