Application for Employment Employee understands and agrees that, as a condition of this Agreement, Employee shall not be entitled to any employment with the Company, and Employee hereby waives any right, or alleged right, of employment or re-employment with the Company. Employee further agrees not to apply for employment with the Company and not otherwise pursue an independent contractor or vendor relationship with the Company.

Leave When Employment Terminates When the employment of an employee is terminated for any reason, the employee or his/her estate shall, in lieu of earned but unused vacation leave, be paid an amount equal to the product obtained by multiplying the number of days of earned but unused vacation leave by the daily rate of pay applicable to the employee immediately prior to the termination of his/her employment.
Application for Benefits Requests for short-term leaves shall be in writing, upon the appropriate form prescribed and provided by the District, and shall be filed with the unit member's supervisor and the appropriate manager five (5) days in advance of the intended leave (except in emergency situations), unless otherwise stated by the provisions of the specific leave.
Employment Eligibility Verification As required by IC § 22-5-1.7, the Contractor swears or affirms under the penalties of perjury that the Contractor does not knowingly employ an unauthorized alien. The Contractor further agrees that: A. The Contractor shall enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all his/her/its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program as defined in IC § 22-5-1.7-3. The Contractor is not required to participate should the E-Verify program cease to exist. Additionally, the Contractor is not required to participate if the Contractor is self-employed and does not employ any employees. B. The Contractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an unauthorized alien. The Contractor shall not retain an employee or contract with a person that the Contractor subsequently learns is an unauthorized alien. C. The Contractor shall require his/her/its subcontractors, who perform work under this Contract, to certify to the Contractor that the subcontractor does not knowingly employ or contract with an unauthorized alien and that the subcontractor has enrolled and is participating in the E-Verify program. The Contractor agrees to maintain this certification throughout the duration of the term of a contract with a subcontractor. The State may terminate for default if the Contractor fails to cure a breach of this provision no later than thirty (30) days after being notified by the State.
Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.
Verification of Employment Eligibility By executing this Agreement, Consultant verifies that it fully complies with all requirements and restrictions of state and federal law respecting the employment of undocumented aliens, including, but not limited to, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as may be amended from time to time, and shall require all subconsultants and sub-subconsultants to comply with the same.
Termination for Just Cause In the event that the EMPLOYERS terminate the employment of the EMPLOYEE during the TERM because of the EMPLOYEE'S personal dishonesty, incompetence, willful misconduct, breach of fiduciary duty involving personal profit, intentional failure or refusal to perform the duties and responsibilities assigned in this AGREEMENT, willful violation of any law, rule, regulation or final cease-and-desist order (other than traffic violations or similar offenses), conviction of a felony or for fraud or embezzlement, or material breach of any provision of this AGREEMENT (hereinafter collectively referred to as "JUST CAUSE"), the EMPLOYEE shall not receive, and shall have no right to receive, any compensation or other benefits for any period after such termination.
Change in Employment Status The District shall promptly notify the OEA Membership Specialist whenever an employee in the bargaining unit is placed on an unpaid leave of absence, retires, is laid off, resigns, or changes their name.
Termination of Executives Employment Termination of Executive's Employment means that (i) the Company has terminated Executive's employment with the Company (including any subsidiary of the Company) other than for Cause (as defined in Section 5.2), death or Disability (as defined in Section 5.3), or (ii) Executive, by written notice to the Company, has terminated his employment with the Company (including any subsidiary of the Company) for Good Reason (as defined below).
