Appointments to Positions. 8.4.7.1 Appointments to Positions will be: (a) on an ongoing basis; and (b) made at a minimum of level A step 3. 8.4.7.2 An Employee who is appointed to a Position will: (a) incrementally progress in accordance with Clause 11 Salary Increases and Schedule 1 – Academic Annual Salary Rates; and (b) be entitled to apply for, and be promoted, in accordance with this Agreement and University policy.
Appointments to Positions. Paid from Salary Schedules 03, 10 and 14 Employees who were or are hired directly into, or within one year of their ECD were, or are, appointed to a Society-represented position and paid from Salary Schedules 03,10and 14 will receive the following vacation credits for external experience, applicable to four, five, and six weeks vacation entitlement. Credits are based upon the highest salary grade attained within one year of hiring and are translated into an External Experience Value (EEV). Qualifications are as per the Policy and Procedures Job Descriptions. 8.6.1 Reversion Having completed an initial probationary period, permanent full- time and permanent part-time employees will upon written request to the employer be granted casual status. 8.6.2 If the senior applicant is not selected, she shall have the right to appeal against the Employer’s decision through the grievance procedure (subject to the notification provision in Article 8.8.1). 8.6.3 All grievance appeals to be heard under this subsection shall be filed with the Employer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of notification. To minimize disruptions resulting from the selection process, the Step 1 grievance will be heard within 3 working days. (Seventy-two (72) hours.)
