Common use of Appointments Clause in Contracts

Appointments. A) Subject to operational requirements and upon at least eight (8) days’ notice, absence from work to attend other than emergency medical or dental appointments shall be paid for from accumulated sick leave when the employee is unable to arrange the appointment for her normal off-duty hours. B) When an employee’s doctor refers the employee to a specialist then any necessary travel time to a maximum of three (3) work days, for the employee to visit such specialist shall be paid for and deducted from sick leave credits. C) The employee will be required to furnish proof of need in both (A) and (B) above.
