Common use of Apprenticeship Eligibility Requirements Clause in Contracts

Apprenticeship Eligibility Requirements. Selection of apprentices under this program shall be made from applicants on the basis of qualifications and seniority. When all qualifications and related training are equal, seniority will be the ruling factor without regard to race, creed, colour, national origin, sex or occupationally irrelevant physical requirement. In accordance with the objective standards which prevail, review after full and fair opportunity for application, this program shall be operated on a completely non-discriminatory basis. In order to be eligible for apprenticeship under these standards, the applicant must have Grade 12 education or its equivalent. Exceptions to these requirements may be made by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee for applicants who have unusual qualifications which may apply to the apprenticeship. Any decision of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee is not subject to any grievance or appeal.
